Legend Heart is a journey that began officially in 2003 after years of work between Reno West, Suzette Monique, and the late James Wyatt. Along with business partner and close friend Bob Roberts, Legend Heart released their successful self-titled 1st CD on Valentines Day 2004.
But, …there is a backstory that goes back in time when Reno West, George Spicer, Jon Barnes, Chip Schiavone, Todd Perrine, James Wyatt, and Margie Panko rocked the East Coast like nobody’s business. They were unsigned greats. Their musical magic was evident in the way they connected with the people that loved them and performed in every imaginable venue to their fans. And although the ravages of time, along with life's unexpected turns took its toll, there was a “Phoenix” that would evolve from the ashes when the multi talented Reno West took a path that would lead him to meet a cast of unlikely characters that would become who we are today. We are family. We are Legend Heart.
Suzette Monique has always had roots in music. Her Aunt Dorothy sang with Ray Charles as a member of the Raylettes. And, her Uncle, Richard Berry wrote the hit song "Louie, Louie". But it was her natural talent and many inspirations that influenced her to pursue her musical passion.
Legend Heart, made their live debut performance at the historic Pantages Theater in Tacoma, Washington on January 1st, 2005 to a very enthusiastic audience. Northwest Harvest and Family Renewal Center were both featured charities at the self-produced event. Their unique, synergistic sound was a big hit.
They have often been described fondly as the band of all genres and no genre, due to the many varieties of styles and flavorings blended and used in their rock based sound. Metal, Alternative, Blues, Punk, Classical, Jazz, Progressive, Reggae, Acoustic, and Folk are very evident in their original music.
Types of Shows and Performances are based mostly on a specific venue. Legend Heart has a full blown metal show, as well as a melodic acoustic show, and anything in between from danceable to blues, with genre options abound, performing all impressively.
All shows and performances are primarily original; however the band also often performs classic rock covers for fun as full sets sometimes, or mixed with originals. Songs by The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, The Who, Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix, The Doors, Pink Floyd, AC/DC, Rush, Elvis Presley, Tom Petty, David Bowie, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Alice Cooper, Queen, and many others are covered.
Legend Heart followed up their debut CD, with their 2nd CD "River Cry For The Sky" in 2006. Their newest metal-rock driven CD "Rock & Roll Chains" was released on December 4th, 2009, with plans in the works for their 4th CD in 2011. The 4th CD will contain heavy R&B, Soul, Jazz, & Blues influences, and will be a tribute to their late friend and original LH bassist, James Wyatt.
A powerful experience of true independent music. Their songs are created and performed in the spirit of classic rock and roll. Their music can be defined as driving progressive rhythms and sounds wrapped in dreamy, haunting, melodies of pure originality. But what is most important to Legend Heart, is making good music, good friends, and having fun doing it all.
